DAY 01: AREQUIPA -CHIVAY
07:30am to 08:00am - Pick up from hotels in the center of Arequipa.

08:00am - We begin our trip to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our point of operations will be the town of Chivay, which we will arrive in approximately 4 hours, counting all the tourist stops. As a first point, we will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we will be able to appreciate the vicuñas that live in this area. After that, very close by, we will visit Patahuasi to drink the traditional coca tea, a traditional drink that is essential for altitude sickness. (mountain sickness). Then we will also make a small stop at the Toccra Bofedales where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area. A mandatory stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point on the road that reaches 4,800 meters above sea level, from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range, from this point it would only be 40 minutes to reach the town of Chivay.

12:30pm - We will arrive in Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch (payment on behalf of the client). After lunch we will settle in our respective hotels. During the afternoon we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the Hot Springs (optional entry paid on behalf of the client) whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C to 38º C in temperature in the pools.

For dinner (payment on behalf of the client) we can enjoy a folklore show with typical dances of the area.

Overnight in Chivay.

DAY 02:CHIVAY -COLCA CAYON-PUNO
Breakfast. After breakfast we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor (you have top ay entrance ticket) which is 30 minutes away, it is the observation point of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will spend an average of 45 minutes to observe the beauty of the Colca Canyon.

On the way back we will stop at the viewpoints in the area from where we will observe the impressive Andenería del Valle and in the town of Maca, where we will see its church and optionally taste local drinks such as the Colca Sour, made from local products. zone.

12:00pm - Lunch in Chivay. (payment on behalf of the client)

1:15 pm. After the lunch, We will aboard other transport with assitance of our guide, because We do not return to Arequipa, rather our trip ends in Puno. Our trip to Puno include turistic transport with a professional guide and have stops for view atracctive points, and many protected natural areas of flora and fauna on the route between Colca and Puno.

07:30pm – We will arrive at the city of Puno, We will have 2 disembarkation points, depending on traffic conditions, either at the Hotel Conde de Lemus or at the Gran Unidad School in San Carlos. Both points just 2 blocks from the main square of Puno. End of our service

Know before you go
The visit to the Colca Canyon is a main attraction of Arequipa, the main Town (Chivay) just 3 hours from the main city. It is recommended to arrive at least 1 day before to acclimatize to the altitude problems of the area and eat lightly to enjoy your activity at the Colca Canyon.
