Huchuy Qosqo Machu Picchu Tour 03 Days

The Huchuy Qosqo Trek 3 days Tour is designed for those adventurers who do not have much time but are eager to experience an experience in the Andes. The Huchuy Qosqo Tour to Machu Picchu begins very close to the Tambomachay archaeological site and connects with the Sacred Valley, appreciating the tranquility of the world and the pure air.

The Quechua name “Huchuy Qosqo” means (Small Cusco) it is an archaeological site that was abandoned similar to that of many others with the destruction of the Inca Empire. The Huchuy Qosqo Trek 3-day Tour offers spectacular landscapes with mountains and snow-capped peaks typical of the Sacred Valley mountain range. At the end of the Huchuy Qosqo trek we will take the train, passing through very colorful towns until we reach Aguas Calientes and the next day we visit the Inca City of Machu Picchu.

Huchuy Qosqo Tour Itinerary

DAY 1.- CUSCO – TAMBOMACHAY – HUCHUY QOSQO

The Huchuy Qosqo Trek Tour 3 days to Machu Picchu starts early with the pick up from your hotel at 6:30 am, and then we go in our transport to the archaeological site of Tambomachay (3 750 m). Here we will start our Huchuy Qosqo Trek to Machu Picchu. During our tour we will be able to observe beautiful natural landscapes, some Andean communities and the Qoricocha Lagoon. Then we will arrive at the Community of Puma Marka, where we will camp with the impressive view of the mountain range of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

DAY 2.- HUCHUY QOSQO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES

After our breakfast we will continue with the Huchuy Qosqo Trek Tour 3 days until we reach León Punku, in this place you will be able to appreciate mysterious rock formations. After an hour of walking we arrive at the Archaeological Park of Huchuy Qosqo (3 450 m).

We will begin our guided visit to the Archaeological Site of Huchuy Qosqo, where we can admire several temples, houses, reservoirs, irrigation canals, reservoirs as well as the amazing agricultural terraces.

Then you will have free time to continue exploring on your own and take more photos with the landscape and the Inca complex. Then we will go down in the direction of the town of Lamay appreciating at all times the River of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our lunch will be served near the sacred river with a rewarding view in the open air. After enjoying our food and saying goodbye to the support staff, we will take a means of transportation to Ollantaytambo. Here we will visit this living town from the Inca period that still maintains its narrow streets, aqueducts, granaries or food warehouses. Then we will take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night.

DAY 3.- MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO

The Huchuy Qosqo Trek 3-day Tour takes us very early to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. After breakfast we will take the buses to the Inca City of Machu Picchu. Once at the entrance door we will show our tickets and then go with our guide to the guardian’s house. From here we can appreciate the majestic sunrise over Machu Picchu and the incredible landscape that surrounds it.

The guide’s explanation takes 2 hours to get to know the most important places that the Inca city of Machu Picchu comprises. At the end of the tour you will have time to climb the Huaynapicchu Mountain on your own, Huchuy Cusco Trek 3 days ends with the return by train to Ollantaytambo, arrival time in Cusco approximately 10:30 pm.
